Things I can live without but rather not to

There are many things I have that I take for granted. I was thinking what happens if I go back to basics, 15 or even 10 years back. So many things I used to go on living without and now one can’t seem to imagine life without them or is too terrified to do so :D

  • TV

Growing up we didn’t have a TV. So we invented our own games, out of anything :P Now everytime i’m bored, Bin Khaldoon street for the latest movies (1KD of course) or switch on the TV and watch whatever

  • Mobile

We used to get so excited when we gave our home phone number to anybody. ‘Just call and ask for me :D ’ Now our telephone keeps ringing and nobody moves except for mom :P , because we all know if somebody wants us they will dial our mobile numbers

  • Microwave

Remember the stove days!! Now put all your food on a nice plate and pop it a microwave for 1 minute and voilà, supper ready

  • Our maid ‘Dina’

Miraculously things get tidied up and that’s all I have to say about it :D She takes good care of me

  • My own car

No scheduling or sharing needed. Because if that was not the case my bro’s will be hogging the car the entire time

  • Google

Just kidding can’t live without it :D . Everybody needs some googling sometime ;)

Types of Drivers

Driving in Kuwait is anything but normal driving. It is by itself an experience, a challenge, a stunt that you perform regularly.

So I have been away for quite a while from the early morning “ساحة فنية”. I was driving back to work sipping my green tea and being enthusiastic about resuming my working duties, I was driving a little over 80 KMPH ;) So I came up with this

Types of Drivers:

§ الدايخ
This type goes from the far left lane to the right, zigzagging their way

§ المظلومين
Most of these are residents with their 1900’s cars suffering on the right lane with open windows in 50ºc driving near the safe lane just in case their cars break down and atop all that they are always police targets “أبوي ما يقدر إلا على أمي”

§ المصدقين
These are the most people you curse. They believe they own the road. Most of them drive fancy cars. They support nose to butt driving, they will drive 1cm away from the car in front of them. Also, strong admirers of fast last minute lane change. Signal traffic is for cursing and flirting.

§ المبيعه
They change their left car tyres on the right lane and their right car tyres on the left. Cars ooze by them and they keep on hunching and jumping on that car jack, I guess they have a silent death wish, keep away from those

§ المسكين
They still believe that the left lane speed limit is 120 KMPH!

§ الملاقيف
This is most of the population. They stop and stare at every damn thing. They believe everything is their business. These need to stop existing on planet earth or we can always deport them to Pluto or another galaxy :D Far away as possible
