WANTED!!!!

super-computer

What I need is a self-constructive PC organism. A PC that can identify the problem and fix itself. Pinpoint the hardware failure and regenerate electronic circuits. Has a brain to enable it to speak its mind, when someone is trying to screw it. Able to produce electronic shocks to zap the user when he/she is doing something they aren’t supposed to do. Smart enough to collect physical, audio, video, fingerprints, snapshots, evidence to criminate who ever violated them, preferably if they have a live-like finger to point with. Has a sense of reason to convince the user not to do what someone told them not to do, psychiatrist ability is a huge plus. Can issue sirens to warn imminent disasters. I need a super duper with human intelligence and interaction PC!!!

Because my brothers have struck again and destroyed the PC!!!! After the last PC on smoke incident, I don’t have the energy or the sanity to look into it.

IT Thoughts

Once people know you are even remotely involved in IT they will ask you everything about technology, gadgets, etc. I don’t mind that, you never expect the trivial question or what people assume you know, like what is the best digital camera to buy. I have one and barely know all the functions, I have to read the how-to handbook ;P I believe when I went to buy one, I said, good resolution for good pictures, chargeable and minimum movement distortion.

My cousin called while buying a laptop and started listing laptop’s specifications!! I’m like “WHOW, hold on, first what are you using the laptop for?”. If you are simply using it for word processing applications, high end heavy applications like graphic design, gaming, watching movies, etc. You can basically go with the standard specification or the upgrade version.

Honestly I think most PCs are the same these days, on a long stretch, you can use the same PC for about 3 years, no sweat. I base my judgement on my hands on experience. For example, I hate ACER even if they patched the Ferrari logo on their products. I don’t like Fujitsu Siemens. I Love HPs, that laptop stood through our beloved country weather, the kicking, the falls and mishaps though it is falling apart now, btw fa6fooo6 you need a new laptop ;)

I do check websites that extensively test laptops or PCs, PC world for example. They list the tests conducted and the results. Also, you can get users’ feedback who already bought that laptop or PC. So first checkout whatever you are going to buy.

What I want to put my hands on are Sony laptops and Macs. Yummy, I saw a Mac laptop at Ureka the other day and it is for 1200 KD, OUCH!! Way over my budget and honestly I don’t desperately need it. Anyway, Steve Jobs if you can spare a few ;)
