80/20 Percentage

I heard this in a movie Tyler’s Perry “Why did I get married” so it’s not a great movie it was OK, but the facts were interesting and as all Tyler’s movie, there is always a message and it tackles mostly black people’s issues

The “80% / 20%” rule, the idea is before you get married you fantasise how it would be and what you want in your partner and after marriage if you are lucky you’ll get 80% of what you imagined but then again since you have got that, with time you only see the 20% you haven’t got and some other person comes along into your life offering that 20% so the cheating begins

Then there comes a moment when a choice is made and most of the time you end up with the 20% person and then it’ll hit you what a great thing you had going on and you blew it

Most people think that you haven’t seen it all, if you didn’t get married, but the same can be said to married people, you haven’t seen it all, if you got married!!

I think this can be applied to most things in life, in which we are brought up to believe there’s such a thing “perfect”, perfect life, perfect personality, perfect job, perfect house, perfect partner, perfect kids, perfect family, perfect friend, but there isn’t!!!

You can’t possibly have everything you wished for 100% and even if you crawl and fight for all the things you want, no matter how big or small, you always want the 100%, you’ll loose the bigger picture, the sense of enjoyment, the sense of achievement

As human beings, we tend to look at the dark side of things, lurk on the negatives and forget the positives

We don’t appreciate the good thing we had unless we try on the next one and realize what a good thing we had going on, whether it’s a job, friend, lover, house, you name it, it’s the same concept you just apply it on whatever suites you

But then there’s a difference between people who make a mistake and realize it and try to fix it and others that realize it and decide to stand idle while their life steeps downhill till it’s their time to go

It’s one of my beliefs, it’s the imperfections that make it perfect

My MAN

I can’t wait to see Will Smith’s new movie and I have been reading about the reviews it got and damn those critics for saying anything other than spectacular

Apparently critics don’t like it, too insensitive, why?? I don’t know, so he throws a kid in the air but he catches him right … believe me kids today need to be thrown around to knock some sense into them the way they behave and disrespect everything!

Anyway I got two movies lined up for this week, Hancock and Wall-E and I expect both to be WOW

Will Smith earned the right to be a big blockbuster movie star, so no matter what movie he makes, everybody needs to get out there and watch it, even if it is him staring in the camera for the whole two hours. In some sense he did that, have you seen “I am Legend”, it’s mostly him, all the time and I enjoyed it and watched it again, I LOVE the guy

Whether it’s action, comedy, animations, tragedy, drama, you name it, he did it with flying colours

And his beautiful talented kids, his son, daughter and also his beautiful wife and of course she was in one of my favourite “The Matrix” so back off the man and just enjoy whatever comes your way

And the way he treats ladies, they’re all over him, just look at his wife, she’s happy all the time, of course who wouldn’t be, Will by my side

All in all, he is one of my favourite actors and people, haven’t seen his latest but can’t wait for his next :D
