Skype

How did I create this account, well “someone” needed to contact his son who is studying abroad and as an obedient IT we had to check this out. Anyway that was months ago and the moment I created my account, I started receiving invitations!! Anyway I configured it not to, but when I installed it on my personal laptop, it started all over again

What this application basically does, is allow you to make phone calls over Internet, transfer voice over Internet (VoIP)

I created an account and my details, I saw they had this chat rooms which I believe you can enter to discuss the topic listed. All the setting and information that comes up by default is related to the country you selected for your account, mine is Kuwait and sadly below is the popular keywords, I don’t know about other countries but this is what I got

The cost to call to another Skype is free of course, mobile costs more than land lines.

I have a friend in Jordan and I usually call her from my mobile to her mobile, she has no Internet access, but with Skype I paid 10 US through moneybooker.com around 2.700 KD and managed to talk to her for 43 minutes which is good. The voice quality was good and she told me her end was fine too

It’s pretty easy to use and setup, strangely KEMS was blocking skype.com, I sent them a request asking why, but you can get the application from downloads.com

It is strange, KEMS are the only ones blocking it for some reason. Their really isn’t any reason to block it..

I have had my Skype account for a little over a year now and it has been great. For $70 I get unlimited calls all over the US and unlimited calls to European landlines which is fantastic! Drops the cost a huge amount!

yeah I don’t know the point, ppl can get it from other locations! maybe stuff regarding updates where it is required to directly connect to skype, KEMS still didn’t reply back!

I think offers are only for US not for other countries, I’ll have to check it out, they do have a lot of features
