Hello, is this Mr. X?
This is he.
Well sir, it shows that there are suspicious activities being generated under you account’s name. Are you massively deleting files from our file server?
No, it must be a mistake.
Isn’t your username, XY?
Yes.
So, you’re saying you’re not deleting anything? You didn’t just delete “projects” folder?
No, it must be someone else.
So, your saying someone has your username and password.
Yes, exactly.
You’re in building 1.
Says who?
Your IP address, this network is assigned to your building sir, so you must be within your buidling.
Well it must be someone else in the building who has my credentials.
OK, are they using your laptop also?
How would I know?
Where is it?
ahhhh … why?
Sir, it’s the laptop that’s under your name, that’s being used for this activity.
I don’t have it!
Someone has your laptop, using your credentials and is in building 1 and deleting but it isn’t you.
…
and you failed to report a stolen laptop. If you’re not on your desk, how are you answering your extension?
I’ve my wireless phone with me.
You must be real close to your office sir.
How come?
Well your wireless IP phone is connected to the access point outside your office. Are you wearing a red shirt today sir?
Ah, yes, why? How did you know??
Because I’m standing right behind you sir, watching you delete the data away!! You $@*#@ !!!!!

The last to know!

Here’s the thing, if you are operating within a company, YES, IT people can monitor your every move, the only thing that holds them back is, systems that do the exact job, the amount of data collected and where to store, manage it, budget constraints, man power and eventually is it worth it.
Let me simplify it, as an end user using a company’s computer, plugged in within their network, using their resources, from Internet to storage to emails, etc …, they own the data, they can collect it and do whatever they want with it!
- Your browsing activity, so watch what you type in that URL box.
- Do not use the company’s email account to exchange personal emails. The company owns the server. For GOD’s sake, don’t complain about emails missing, just to have us discover it’s love emails to another colleague! Too much info.
- Abide to your company’s regulations. Don’t copy/print/send something you’re not supposed to, then deny it! Little nasty agents are installed on company’s computers that monitor whatever the company wants! Don’t outsmart the company, by using (prt sc).
- If an investigation is going on, whether about leaked or missing data and you’re involved, cleanse your soul, confess. Making the company take the time and effort to investigate then discover it was you, pisses them off. Confess and save everyone the time and effort. As always, shit happens and the company has backup to recover deleted data.
- Messing up someone else’s data, can be detected. Deleting something, doesn’t wipe it away from company’s systems, there is always a copy of files/emails/etc somewhere!
- Don’t chat, it can be redirected and logged.
- Don’t sneak away and then claim you were in the company the whole day and the attendance system is messed up! Surveillance cameras are rolling and just recorded your hasty early departure.
I’m not saying all companies do that, but depending on the business, systems can be installed to log in whatever action the end user does, to protect the company’s assets and interest. It is your right to know what your company records, so ask them.
Seriously, don’t bring your private life to work, we really don’t want to know! Do your job and go home

Corner Thoughts

How does it feel?
to be slowly put aside
From being the whole world
to being left behind
Fading in the background
where the light is dim
Up ahead is the new star
leaving everyone wondering, who you are?
You’re asking me
How does it feel?
wait, let me wipe away my fallen tear
Have you ever had this feeling
where you’re lost in the dark
You can see the light
but can’t find your way out
You understand
but won’t comprehend
It’s so easy
yet so hard
To get this feeling
but seeing it, really seeing it, will tear you apart!
So here I go,
doing the only thing I know
Stepping aside
leaving it all behind …

From my point of view, a person needs to experience eating by themselves in a public place. It may not be comfortable to some, but it gives you a sense of appreciation to having a companion. Though it’s not a favourable choice to me, but I do eat alone in public, sometimes I go to fast food restaurants, complexes or simply step in a restaurant. I take a book, work, reading material or just my full of thoughts head
All ends with the same conclusion, it’s much more fun to have someone eating with you, unless you are in a foul mood “شنو ذنب الناس يجابلوني و نفسيتي بخشمي”
I went to the avenues tonight, walked around, did some minor shopping and ever since I read Shaymaa’s post regarding Bayt Abdulla, I decided to go get me a cute little bear, as Shaymaa put it
. When it comes to charity, I don’t believe in giving away money just for the sake of “I gave money away”. As an individual, it’s your responsibility to make a sound judgement regarding the organization you give your money to. As for myself, I don’t give to certain organizations here in Kuwait because of past embezzlement incidents. So when I saw the bears in Caribou, I just walked by but then I read Shaymaa’s post and saw her pictures of the housings, the whole thing became more clearer.
So I decided to post my bear to encourage others to go get one as Shaymaa’s pics did to me.

PS: Shaymaa how many times did I mention your name ;P
Gym Diaries

I’ve been to the gym 5 times this week, which is a good progress and now I’m planning something nice to treat myself
I went to the gym today and went to the workout floor and there I saw someone who wasn’t supposed to be there!
GYM, is for many people, except for the person I saw today! She was extremely thin. I was surprised she didn’t pass out from jumping from one machine to another and that woman was working her butt off!! -except she didn’t have one, I think her fat percentage was in the negative area-
I was about 3 times the size of that woman! Wondering what the hell is she doing working out … Well even if she wanted to …. what … wait let me think … OK … circulate her blood, get her lungs pumping, she could’ve done mild walking!
I wouldn’t allow her to workout, except if she had a burger in one hand and fries in the other while exercising because fats needs to get in her body! Or by some miracle, calories burnt from overweight people, is magically transferred through the air into her system
But she did make me work harder, I thought if that chick with no fat to burn to produce energy exercises this hard, then I can too. I think, I’m going to see when she comes in, so I can sync with her ;P maskeena la a36eeha 3ain … mashaAllah 3aleeha
Anyway, I’m hoping to loose the 2 KGs I gained within the next two weeks, I plan to cut back on food and go to the gym regularly.
I have bad eating habits, I don’t eat breakfast and stay off food till it’s 3aser time, and then gobble everything in front of me! and that’s why I gain weight
so insha’Allah I regulate my eating habits and no more takeouts, or healthy options only …
Let’s see how I do after two weeks …
Just A Question
Posted by Bloggylife in thoughts on March 17, 2009
Have you ever never been sure whether something is real or not?
A thought or memory crosses your mind and you are not quiet certain if it did actually happen or was it a dream??
The two worlds, reality and fantasy, can cross and if they do .. BIG trouble!
6ab3an as usual when I’m tired, my dreams are filled with work related issues and recently our mailing system!
I wake up and think did someone tell me to check the spam or was it that they received spam, was there a message?
My work mobile was off and I check my personal and sure I did get SMS while I was sleeping, from Sultan center to redeem my points ;P
OK, was it an email, double checked … NOPE …
So it was all a dream ?? Hmmm, not good!
This blank moment, right after you wake up from a deep sleep …
who am I? Where am I? HA … What … Where and then reality sinks in ;P
I think I’m loosing it, I just need a strategy or technique to keep my real world out of my dream world, so if I remember flying or cruising in Europe then definitely it’s a dream but when dreams come to close to reality that they mesh together, it makes you confused and actually have to think for a moment, did it really happen or was it in my dreams … this I need to take down a notch
