Lonely Thoughts

It’s just so comfortable, this corner of mine.

Even if I sit there all by myself, alone, I know it’s still mine.

People come and go, they see me here all alone.

They pass me by, maybe say hello.

But eventually they’ll carry on and off they go.

They have their own lives, their own dreams.

This corner …

To them it’s dark …

To me it’s home …

To them it’s cold …

To me it’s warm …

People are scared of being alone …

I am … or used to be …

I made peace, I’m at ease …

Many years from now, maybe they’ll get to know …

This feeling … of being all alone …

But I’ll be in my corner …

Not afraid of the unknown …

Because I already know what they don’t know …

Eventually you’ll be alone.

It seems that you speak of death at the end, then again I tend to translate anything to death :p

There’s a difference between alone & lonely. Some people like to be alone but surrounded by others. No one likes being lonely.

in my opnion being lonely is a choice a person makes, and God created us to be among ppl and to be social but some times u need to have ur own time and space away from ppl although it’s not healthy if it continues for a long period of time u can go crazy :)

Rania: Yeah, but as God created us, some have evolved into some kind of nerds :P

    @MBH
    “To cheer your up”?

    @BloggyLife
Relating things to death and/or speaking about death is not depressing at all. What should be depressing, on the contrary, is the absence of those thoughts, and getting too attached to a life that is far from being anything close to perfect. “Hold it in your hands, not your heart”. I’m not suicidal though, but keep’em dark thoughts comin’ ; )

    About the poem..
My interpretation of the words “Eventually you’ll be alone” weren’t death-related. Nobody likes to be lonely. True, but making peace with the fact that you may eventually be lonely can bring some serenity into your life. Relying on external factors to bring you this feeling of peace, happiness or comfort is risky. People change, spouses change, friends leave, and in the end everyone’s got their own problems to worry about. You end up on your own, in your corner. Might as well make it warm and comfy then :p This is what I understood from your words, BloggyLife.

@bashar lol see then being nerdy is being in the commpany of technology thus not lonely

@nosayba i think we are alone when we are died only , when they put us in the grave , thinking it’s ok and comfortable and we are fine on our own is a just a big lie we tell our self , ppl always crave for company or God would have put each one of us on a planet by them selves and asked us to feel comfortable on our planet .

if friends leave then make new friends
if spouses change get new ones too

just don’t choose to be lonely , it’s not healthy at all

Rania: Yeah if you count technology as a partner, then I’ve got many! :)

Nosayba, exactly ;) Not necessarily everyone has the same fate, but a high possibility – since it’s my dark thoughts ;p – and it does bring some kind of peace, you never know the future, family, friends, so you might as well build everything around you and consider everything else as a blessing but if you end up alone and I don’t mean lonely then it’s OK :D

Rania, people can be lonely even if they have the world around them. And yes GOD said
” يا أيها الناس إنا خلقناكم من ذكر وأنثى وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل لتتعارفوا إن اكرمكم عند الله اتقاكم”
But being alone, it’s just something you have to be OK with, that’s all :) and insha’Allah no one ends lonely

Bashar, YOU know what I’m going to say, don’t ya! you & your imaginary tech buddies ;P
