Just Thoughts

It doesn’t make it right

when you ask about me day and night

Now that I carry myself on my own

You pretend you’ve been there and I wasn’t alone!

Weren’t you the one who started off

that I had to do it all … myself

I did not ask for your help

your guidance or advice

and when I refuse it all

you argue and get mad, not making sense at all!!

It doesn’t make it right

Because we no longer fight

I’m pretty sure

you’ll always be there

But when I truly need you

you’ll vanish into thin air

I hope you prove me wrong

Because I’m not that strong

I hide it all so well

in my deep dark bottomless well

I remember that one moment I held you  so tight and I let it all go

My high walled defences went down and  I let all my tears flow

But for now …

I’m telling YOU what I AM going to do

and by the way, these are all my own doings no thanks to YOU
