IT Thoughts

One way to bring down a business …

Blow up their data center!

PS: I know, if you are an IT, you’ll have ‘n’ ways to null this argument, but it’s a valid assumption wouldn’t you say :)

    1) EMP.
    2) Give the boss’s kid/niece/grandson a super magnet to play with near the SAN storage.
    3) Crack nuts with a rock on a few hard disks before putting them back into their slots.

I think mine is more to the point ;D

If you wanna screw stuff up .. do it BIG ;P LOL

    what’s EMP ???

Seriously? You don’t know what EMP is? If you have a geek card, it’s immediately revoked.

EMP = ElectroMagnetic Pulse. There are EMP cannons that generate electromagnetic pulses that disrupts (and if strong enough, damages) anything electronic.

who sez I have a geek card ?? Even if I have one, Bashar already took it ;P Couldn’t you just say ElectroMagnetic Pulse (EMP), I know that! yAllah added to my vocabulary.

    No Bloggy, he couldn’t have.

    Seriously.. -__-;

Everyone knows what EMP is. noob.

You could have googlized it before asking :p

  7. #7 by Bloggylife on May 8, 2009 - 12:38 PM

    Nosayba, I know ;D

MBH, I could have, but then you would go on using synonyms assuming all are following.

BTW, I think I should be offended you called me noob!

Check my previous comments; whenever I used a synonym I explained its meaning.

You shouldn’t be offended, at all! If you deal with electronics, work in IT, hold a college degree, you better know what EMP is :p

MBH, “better know”? As in “must know”? Or “most probably know”? Be precise.

Statistically, we could have mixed it with one of multiple other possibilities; Eclipse Modeling Project, Excessive Multi-Posting, Ericsson Mobile Platforms, Engineered Machined Products.. An Engineer must avoid ambiguity whenever possible.

    ROFL @ Nosayba possibilities ;D

MBH, so I think I broke the rule ;P One can’t keep up with it all

    Nosayba,
“you better know” means you better know, otherwise you’re a hopeless case (noob).

How are any of your “possibilities” related to damaging a data-center?

I also gave a hint by mentioning magnets in my 2nd idea.

    give it up MBH :)

you “must avoid ambiguity” as much as you can
