Wii-ing with Family
Posted by Bloggylife in family on July 29, 2009
Every Saturday we have our gathering, my sister and her husband, my brother and his wife come to lunch at our parent’s. After lunch we decided to play some Wii, the latest gaming console my big brother got.
When I need to satisfy my game hunger, Wii doesn’t do it for me, I’ve got get my hands on some serious games, like Tomb Raider
Wii games are FUN, each family member has a character created, and we took turns playing Tennis, bowling, golf, etc. It was filled with challenge, movements and screams. Now we are going up a notch and getting the dance game with the dancing mats
My brother also, suggested to get two extra hand remotes, so four players can play at the same time when applicable, but we need more room, since we’re going to bump into each other if we played in the dewaniya. If you check Wii accessories, they have very interesting stuff according to your games requirements, like a microphone for a singing game which you can upload to a site later on
Bas this is too much for family activity, don’t think anyone will be willing to broadcast personal singing tunes.
My brother is supposed to go to Rihab to get all that we agreed on, that was last Sunday. I hate going to Rihab, last time I went I was shocked by the changes that happened, I remember we used to go there on regular basis as kids to get the Sega/Nintendo games. “Rehab” now is restructured, you’ll find shops in every corner and young kids smoking looking like they are 40 year olds stuck in teenager bodies! I’ll remind him again tomorrow, if he doesn’t go, I’ll make the ultimate sacrifice and go, but I’ll take my younger brothers with me, since I think I’m supposed to take them out on Thursday for movies and dinner. Can’t wait to shake it
Just A Question

Does “Connections” even if accompanied with “Stupidity” overpower “Hard Work” ??

Just Thoughts

When people get themselves in deep shit, they just want to get out and all hell with who gets hurt on the way. Even though they’ve been advised from the beginning!
Shopping Thoughts

Is it just me or shops take you more seriously if you go in with bags in hand? Items you got from another shop, they kind of represent that you are definitely shopping today and not just there to breeze through their clothes and kill time. Though, if you think about it, the more bags I have, the less I’m likely to get anything, because it seems that I’ve found what I’m looking for and bought it already
To Cinescape Kuwait

Have old movies screenings, there are lots of good old movies that I would go watch. They can offer free seats but charge for the snacks and sell advertisement slots within the show. Or just charge a small fee.
Run movie marathons, I for one, once watched all “The Matrix” movies in one shot. I wouldn’t mind watching “Lord of the Ring”, “Ice Age” or “Die Hard”. Imagine spending the whole day watching movies, who hasn’t done it before.
Of course, we all have our main complaint against movie screening here in Kuwait, censoring! But I think they have taken it too far, not only deleting love scenes but also violent scenes.
I recently went to Spike Lee’s latest movie and it was just like jumping gaps!
People going to a war movie are expecting to see violence and it’s their responsibility to take a look at the movie’s rating, if you get shocked easily then this movie genre isn’t for you.
Cinescape puts in mind that regardless of the movie’s rating, all ages will go to the movie, so they’ll edit the movie with a 3 year old as audience in mind. I think they presume, if they start forcing age limit, they’ll loose money. How many times have you seen babies in seats next to you in a movie that is way over their age limit!
I still like to see them implement a movie marathon and old movie screening, even for old Egyptian movies, we have huge fan base here, to attract audience, attending is free
yallah Cinescape give it a go and add a form in which you receive suggestions and ratings, that would be cool.
Big Sister Advice

If you have two brothers who are a little over a year apart then you are familiar with all the bickering, fights, he said this he said that, that go on most of the time.
I sometimes get mad and demand they stop at once. But then I realized it’s sometimes easier to just have them unite against a single target, myself for example
They would go on and on teasing about everything, the way I eat if we were in a restaurant, they way I drive if we were in a car, my clothes selection if I took them shopping, how I speak, endless issues.
Or I’d guide them to talk about a topic in which both can participate and earn laughs from all. The latest prank they pulled off, for example
Even for a while, they seem to forget and stop teasing each other and focus on stuff you can tolerate.
These young kids they are very sneaky! I’m mad and want to shout, but then I see their faces and fight hard not to laugh because the whole “I’m so pissed off” won’t work at all!!!
It’s easier to handle them against you, rather then handle both against each other, not to mention the whole “who’s side are you on”, “you love him more”, etc.

Passed … Really ???

“You Passed!”
I really want to know my score! That’s the first thought that came to mind. It’s not about if I passed or not, it’s how much did I score!
I remember back in college I had this perfect understanding of a civil engineering subject, statics, and I was about 100% sure that I got a perfect grade, and to top it all, the way I solved the problems brought joy to myself ;P
When I’m this confident regarding my performance, nothing else matters
It’s like how I felt in my final project presentation, I wanted it to be over so we would be in the questions time, I wanted people to ask me! That’s how relaxed I was ;P
Have you ever felt this way? You know you passed, but what’s the score.
Long Weekend

I know I’ll sound like a pessimistic, but I feel this time off is like a long pause! I’m holding my breath waiting for the week to begin so I can breathe and go!!!
Though I left work with pending issues, I updated my tasks, appointments and reminders, all set and ready for Sunday. I just take a while to ease into the relaxation mode and take my mind off work.
My plans are beginning to form.
Back to work, I’m really hoping to finish major tasks next week because I want to take the week after off. My family rented a Chalet and I want to spend the whole week there not having to go back and forth. I’m willing to compromise if they refuse my request, like taking my laptop so I can VPN to work and have my work mobile on. We’ll see how things go.
Now I need to go fix dinner, since I’ve been going on just two mega coffee and soup since morning! Then it’s Tomb Raider time
