How was 2009 for you? Are you one who analyses a year back and plans the year ahead or you don’t believe in new year resolutions and new commitments. I’m not sure what I had planned, but I do remember that I was so into my work that it was my life, I’d go weeks not doing anything except home-work-home and restart that process again the next day. I think I want to get more serious about having a life this year, it’s just about being happy with what I have and what I do. I always have this feeling that I am waiting for something then my life is supposed to make sense and I get this long awaited feeling this is why I am here

• At the beginning of this year, I became an aunt, twice
• I got promoted.
• I resigned
• Took up photography.
• I met new great friends
• I lost my friend.
• On a more personal level, I think I don’t hold back much as before, I share my feelings.
• Took a FUN trip with my family to Dubai.
• I went off to do a MSc degree.

Now that I have my list, I kind of feel sorry for myself I’ll update this list once stuff come to my mind. Maybe I should try something different this year, keep an updated monthly diary.

I think new year resolutions are more sentimental, a new beginning gives a sense of another try, a chance to do it right this time around from one’s perspective.
