Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan with a few friends and who lives alone with his father. His life is not very difficult and his personal trials not that overwhelming. However, one day he makes the simple decision to become a super-hero even though he has no powers or training.
This movie is so surprising! At first you see scenes that 12 year olds aren’t suppose to go through, like a little girl being kicked and punched around and blood spattering all over the place. Or her father is shooting her to the ground! Despite that I enjoyed it. The movie is filled with action and humour and I liked it. I’m sure there is going to be a sequel and I’m definitely looking forward to it.
Be sure to explain to your little ones that this is a movie and not a real life documentary, you don’t want them running around mimicking what they’ve seen in hopes of becoming the next super heroes!
