What’s Up KUWAIT!
Posted by Bloggylife in personal on December 23, 2009
I know, same old samo
Heading back home for a couple of weeks
My family wanted to come but it turned to be expensive and not worth the trouble and the weather is not stable, cold and snowy.
First on my agenda is SLEEPING! I want to sleep for a whole day! Cuddle up in my warm bed, that reminded me I need to buy ear plugs because I know my family won’t keep the noise down, bundle up and sleep for hours and hours undisturbed.
I asked my little brothers to prepare a list of the places they want me to take them, that list had only one place, Maki
It’s all about food with them
hehehehe, I knew Maki was going to be on the list, what I didn’t know, that it was going to be the only one LOL
I told them I needed to be carried around, because for the past months I walked forever, don’t want to do it anymore, they said they’ll do it for a fee, em3afneeen nothing for free with them
I don’t think much has changed since I was gone or has it
What’s Up LONDON!
Posted by Bloggylife in personal, UK on December 17, 2009
YUP, insha’Allah I’ll be heading to London for a few days if everything goes smoothly tomorrow, I’ve been quiet busy with all my assignment and course work! Anyway I’m supposed to finalize my report today to hand in tomorrow and off I go on the 2 PM train, which I haven’t booked yet! Nor the hotel for that matter! Anyway, if it is meant to be, it is meant to be.
So for all of you who have been to London, RECOMMENDATIONS, and I’m a tube kinda-girl, if you are generous enough to provide directions, I do have a map but I’m not that good in reading those, and I don’t think London people are nice enough for me to ask them for directions! So I guess, I’ll just wander around and see where my feet take me
Automating: My Way
Posted by Bloggylife in personal on November 25, 2009
When I’m asked to do a task or solve a problem, I like to do two main things if I can, generalize the solution and automate the process.

When automating, it’s not about being lazy, but being efficient ;) It’s not complicated and I don’t invest much. If I have a program that outputs a file, I’d run another program to read the output and organize it the way I want, I don’t edit the main program. If I have to run this main program several times with different parameters. I’d generate first different parameters files, create a simple batch file with simple DOS commands, that pass the parameters when running the main program, then run my program that takes the necessary information that I want and then renames the output files.
I’d leave it to run overnight because it takes time, and if you are lucky, you won’t face stupid things, like Vista updates being installed and the computer automatically restarting killing your run! Thank GOD in my case, all my runs were done
Pushing the Limits
Posted by Bloggylife in personal on November 22, 2009
I’m trying to measure the limits of my daily routines. How much is enough?
- How many times a week I can have pasta before I die of having too much pasta
- How much of “public display of affection” I can take all the while fighting the temptation to notify the pair to get a room.
- How many people’s backsides I can see per day.
- How much more walking I can do without having the urge to tell someone to carry me home.
- Longest bus ride! Last time I almost vomited!! -la3at chabde raseee eftar-
- How much longer I can tolerate Vista before starting hunting down people responsible
Catch me if you can!

If I loose weight, it’s because the bus keeps driving away! Forcing me to walk all the way up to my dorm room!

Defasha Thoughts!
Posted by Bloggylife in personal, thoughts on November 16, 2009
I hurried to open the door to get to the prayer room, two of my colleagues were walking away.
“Hey, have you got the key, it’s locked, you need the key”
“I know, I’m just going to check if the prayer room is open, if not then I’ll head to the porter”
I open the door to the building and strangely I hear …
“Man, she opened the door!”
I go to the prayer room and it’s locked, I need to head to the porter for the key and there they are in front of me …
“How did you open the door!”
“Ahhh, it wasn’t locked, but I need the keys for the other room …. “
Then it hit me, DAMN, they couldn’t open this door, I thought they were talking about the other room! That’s why they waited
I hope I didn’t use my shoulder to burst through the doors …
There goes my newly created mental list of “why I need a man” with a single one week old entry, that came when I couldn’t open my juice bottle and had to tear the edge off

Cleaning Day Mess
Posted by Bloggylife in personal, thoughts, UK on November 15, 2009
Today is laundry day. I do the laundry, clean my room , bathroom, kitchen, etc. The last times, after I separate my dirty clothes into appropriate patches, I go down and then remember the soap! Go back and bring the soap. I once fed the wrong machine! Different mishaps.
Today I made sure to take the soap with me, I got my pounds in hand and my card and off I go. Reach the laundry room and what did I forget, my clothes! One patch actually! After I filled up the washing machines, I went back up and had to do some hand-washing, where is the soap! DAMN, I forgot it in the laundry room
I got the hover to sweep my room and then took my five bags recycled trash to the refuse area, this is the first time I go there, usually I go outside, so I go in and put my trash accordingly into their appropriate place, as I head out the door is locked, my card is rejected, WTH, how come I can’t get out of this smelly room! I didn’t have my mobile with me and looking around there was no phone, who am I going to call aslan, I don’t even know my own mobile number. I looked for an emergency exit and thankfully it opened to the back of the building, so I had to walk all the way around to my dorm
Next time, I’ll jam the door with something to keep it open, letting us in but not out! What’s the point!

I went jogging today, hoping it’ll help me sleep tonight. As I was walking back to my place, I saw this cute little dog, it’s owner dressed it in a red jacket and get this a freaking matching hat LOL I was smiling wide and as the old lady passed me by, with my grinning wide face, I say: “Hello, lovely dog” and as a proud mama she replied, “Thank you”.
YOU cross my mind, over and over again throughout my day. Every beautiful morning, every fresh rainy day, every smile, every laugh, all are not perfect, all are missing something, because I do not have YOU :*
Pirated Thoughts!

What I’m doing nowadays is loading my PC with different softwares that I’ll be using through the course, installing compilers and configuring them with the free programming editors that I found on the web. Some I found, licensed softwares, are distributed free for students, which made my day.
I’m looking for a MATLAB software and I was discussing our assignment with one of my colleagues and he said, “I have the CD, I can give it to you to install on your laptop”
“Really, isn’t it copyrighted, won’t we get into trouble …”
“I’ve had it for a while and gave it to all my friends …. ” … continues …
I space out a bit and go back in memory … not far away … “يعني انتي مو امضيعه بحولي … تشترين كوبييييز لي قبل” !!! Or did you forget your eMuling that consumed all of the bandwidth!!! 3aysha el-doooor … copyrighted and legal bullshit!!! LOL
“Does it run on Vista, cool, thanks, when can I ….”

Program Language Spaghetti
Posted by Bloggylife in personal, UK on October 27, 2009
I don’t mean the coding itself.
I’m taking so far, C language, Java language, VHDL and MATLAB.
I haven’t programmed for a while and I’ve never took MATLAB.
So now the syntax of each programming language is overlapping the others, well it went a little bit further to include the functions as well
In the Java lab, my partner and I, starting debugging a code we just wrote …
“Let’s put in a printf to see if it actually calls the function”
“OK”
“hmmmm, error … wait that’s in C!!!”
“OH, you made that mistake, I’m writing down that you’re telling me”
“Seriously MAN, it’s MY mistake … well I’m not to blame … too many things mixed together!”
Sometimes, I get out of a C language course to attend a Java lab and then attend a VHDL course!!!
